Master the SpinQuest Wheel Studio — parallax backgrounds, AI skin art, ambient particles, custom spin buttons, and page button styling. Deep-dive guide for Creator plan users.
The Wheel Studio is SpinQuest's most creative tool — a full visual editor that lets you transform any wheel into a branded, stunning experience. Here's a deep dive into every feature, with tips for getting the best results.
The background is the stage your wheel performs on. Choose wisely.
Parallax uses 2–3 layered background images that shift at different speeds as the user scrolls, creating the illusion of depth. Setup:
1. Choose "Parallax" as your background type
2. Upload or AI-generate your far layer (the deepest layer — mountains, sky, a cityscape at night)
3. Upload or AI-generate your mid layer (trees, buildings, abstract shapes)
4. Optionally add a near layer (foreground objects — leaves, particles, geometric elements)
5. Set opacity per layer (the far layer is usually 70–80% opacity; the near layer can be 40–60% to feel semi-transparent)
6. Set scroll speed per layer — far layer moves slowest, near layer fastest
The AI background generator works exceptionally well for parallax layers. Try: "misty forest, no sky, dark tones, detailed trees" for a mid layer.
Upload 2–5 images and set a crossfade transition speed. Best used when you want the background to cycle through moods — a travel wheel might cycle through 4 destination photos, for example.
Skin art sits as an overlay on the wheel face. For best results:
Increase the rim thickness for a bolder frame. Add an inner shadow to make the wheel face feel recessed — particularly effective on dark backgrounds.
Particles float around the wheel continuously while it's displayed. Options include:
- Stars — small white/gold glints, subtle and elegant
- Confetti — colourful, festive, high-energy
- Fire — orange and red embers floating upward, dramatic
- Snowflakes — gentle and seasonal
- Custom — upload your own particle image (a tiny logo, a leaf, a coin)
Set density (how many particles are visible at once) and speed. For a premium feel, keep density low and speed slow.
Both accept custom images (upload or AI-generate). A custom spin button logo — your brand mark or a thematic icon — makes the wheel feel truly bespoke. The pointer/notch is small but visible; a custom arrow or gem icon at the top of the wheel adds a finishing touch.
Style the action buttons (Accept Quest, Pass, Spin Again) with:
- Your brand's primary colour
- Rounded or sharp corner radius
- Bold or light font weight
Even small changes here pull the entire experience into a cohesive brand identity.
Generate everything in one session. AI generation costs credits — batch your creations. Generate skin art first, then the spin button, then backgrounds, so you can evaluate the complete look before regenerating anything.
Preview in mobile mode always. Most of your followers spin on phones. A background that looks stunning on desktop can feel cramped on a 390px screen. Mobile preview is your ground truth.
Build a template for your niche. Once you've designed a look you love, duplicate that wheel and reskin it for new content. Same Studio settings, different items — consistent brand identity across your whole profile.
