Sculpture by the Sea Bondi 2026 + Sydney Things to Do

Sculpture by the Sea runs Oct 16–Nov 2, 2026 on the Bondi to Tamarama walk. Free entry. Spin our Sydney wheel to plan the rest of your day.

Sydney's unofficial start of summer is a two-kilometre outdoor gallery. Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi runs October 16 to November 2, 2026. About 100 works by artists from Australia and around the world line the cliff-top coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama, centred on Marks Park. Entry is free, and organisers expect half a million visitors over the 18 days.

The walk takes an hour or two. That leaves the rest of your day for the wheel.

Walking the Sculptures: What to Know

Then Spin the Harbour

Our Sydney Icons & Harbour wheel covers the city's waterfront classics. Spin once in the morning and once after the walk, and let it pick the rest of your day.

Sydney Opera House & Royal Botanic Garden. The obvious pairing, still worth it. Walk the garden's harbour path out to Mrs Macquarie's Chair for the postcard view of the Opera House and the Bridge together.

Sydney Harbour Bridge. Walk across for free on the eastern footpath, or treat yourself to the BridgeClimb.

Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. If the sculptures put you in the mood for more art, this is right on Circular Quay. The rooftop café has one of the best views in the city.

Art Gallery of New South Wales. The gallery's newer Sydney Modern building added a whole second wing of contemporary work, and general entry is free.

Taronga Zoo. Take the ferry from Circular Quay. The ride across the harbour is half the fun.

Sydney Fish Market. Oysters and fish and chips by the water. Go hungry and go before 1pm.

Carriageworks. A converted railway workshop that hosts a Saturday farmers' market and rotating art installations. It's a natural follow-on from Sculpture by the Sea.

Luna Park. The giant face at Milsons Point has grinned across the harbour since 1935. Go at night when it's lit up.

Make It a Game

Rate your three favourite sculptures from the walk, then spin the wheel once for every one you rated a 10. Share your route on SpinQuest. Our Sydney Food & Beach Bars wheel is a good chaser for the evening.

Spin It Yourself

Spin "Sydney Icons & Harbour" on SpinQuest — let the wheel pick your first stop, then spin again when you're ready for the next.
