How to play SpinQuest Darts — two game modes explained: Spin and Aim (competitive scoring) and Throw and Do (party challenges). Setup guide, tips, and how AI generates challenges.
SpinQuest Darts is not a digital dartboard simulator. You need a real physical dartboard mounted on your wall — the app acts as your game master, scoreboard, and challenge generator. There are two completely different game modes, and they produce two completely different kinds of nights.
This is the competitive mode for players who want a structured scoring game with a twist.
How a round works:
1. Spin the wheel — it assigns you a target, for example *"Double 14"* or *"Triple 20"* or *"Single 7"*
2. Throw at your real dartboard — aim for that target on the physical board
3. Report what you actually hit — enter the segment and multiplier you actually landed
4. Score is calculated — hit number × multiplier (Triple 20 = 60 points, Double 14 = 28 points, Single 7 = 7 points)
5. First player to the winning score wins
Difficulty affects multiplier probability. On Easy, the wheel mostly assigns Singles — achievable targets for casual players. On Hard, Doubles and Triples dominate the assignments, raising the stakes for every throw.
3 dartboard skin themes are available for the in-app wheel display: classic, neon, and vintage. Pick the one that matches your setup.
This is the party mode. Scoring is secondary — the point is the challenge you get assigned.
How a round works:
1. Throw at your real dartboard first — wherever your dart lands is your starting point
2. The app reads the segment — whatever number you hit (1-20) maps to a challenge
3. A 60-second challenge appears — based on that segment
4. Complete it within 60 seconds — then tap Complete ✓, Replace ↻, or Failed ✗
Challenge types include: physical (do 10 push-ups), creative (draw something in 30 seconds), mental (solve a riddle), performance (sing a chorus of a song), social (give everyone a compliment), trivia (answer a question), speed (name 10 things in a category), balance (stand on one foot for 30 seconds), memory (recite a list), and artistic (sketch a portrait of the player next to you).
Multiplier zones affect challenge difficulty: Triple hits get *very creative* or demanding challenges; Double hits get moderate challenges; Single hits get simpler tasks. Hit the bullseye? Expect something memorable.
In Throw & Do mode, you can replace the default challenge bank with your own SpinQuest wheel. Each of the 20 dartboard number segments (1 through 20) maps to one item from your wheel list. This opens up genuinely creative setups:
When AI mode is on, the app uses your wheel item as a theme and AI-generates a tailored challenge around it. This costs 1 AI credit per challenge.
The in-app dartboard wheel has 3 visual themes: Classic (traditional colors), Neon (bright glowing segments), and Vintage (aged, worn aesthetic). These change the visual display of the wheel in the app — your actual physical dartboard stays the same.
