AI credits unlock some of SpinQuest's most powerful features — from generating complete wheel item sets to creating custom skin art for your Wheel Studio. Here's how to get maximum value from every credit you spend.

What Uses AI Credits?

Understanding the cost is the first step to using credits wisely. AI credits are spent on:

• AI Wheel Generation — generating a full set of wheel items from a topic, location, or photo prompt
• Skin Art Generation — creating custom overlay artwork for your wheel face in Wheel Studio
• Background Generation — generating background images or parallax layers in Wheel Studio
• Spin Button / Notch Generation — creating custom icons for wheel elements
• AI Game Content — generating custom trivia questions, truth/dare prompts, or Spinster quest descriptions
• Snap Your Environment — analysing a photo and suggesting activities or wheel content

How the Credit System Works

Daily AI credits reset each day at midnight for your account's timezone. Paid plans include:
- Pro / Family — 10 AI credits per day
- Creator — 100 AI credits per day (750 per month cap)

Purchased AI credits never expire. If you buy a top-up pack (100 AI credits for $2.99), those credits carry over indefinitely until used. Daily credits reset; purchased credits don't.

Strategy Tips for Getting More from Every Credit

Fill in Your Preferences Before Generating

The AI produces dramatically better results when you give it context. Before hitting Generate:
- On the AI Wheels tab: fill in topic, tone, audience, and any specific requirements
- In Wheel Studio: describe the style, mood, and colour palette before generating

Vague prompts waste credits on mediocre outputs. Specific prompts nail it in one or two generations.

Generate Skin Art Once — Reuse Across Multiple Wheels

A custom skin art image costs one AI credit to generate. Once generated and saved, you can apply it to as many wheels as you like without regenerating. Design a signature skin art style for your brand and reuse it across your entire wheel library.

Use Refresh Instead of Regenerating from Scratch

If an AI-generated wheel has 15 items but 3 of them are weak, use the Refresh feature to swap out specific items rather than regenerating the full wheel. Refresh targets only the items you flag — saving credits on the 12 items that are already great.

Snap Your Environment Gets You Multiple Suggestions Per Credit

Each Snap Your Environment use produces several suggestions from a single photo. Take one well-framed photo of your environment and review all suggestions before deciding — don't take multiple photos hoping one triggers better ideas.

Save Before Experimenting

In Wheel Studio, save a version you're happy with before spending credits on experimental generations. If the experiment doesn't work out, you still have your saved version to fall back to.
